A important time for a spiritual community is an opportunity to gather together for spiritual reflection, contemplation and celebration. Beloved Cafe will host opportunities each night for people to gather, participate and share in exploring the divine and sacred in life. The word “worship” means lift up that which is worthy of our time, care, and attention. At Beloved Cafe “worship” means just that – to lift up that which deepens, enriches, and helps us to connect in meaningful ways with our own full, complex experiences of life – as individuals and as members of communities in the 21st century.
Nightly, it might be an open mic night, a poetry reading, music, an evening with a Playback group or Theatre of the Oppressed to engage issues of community concern.. or something else…
At Beloved Cafe, the overarching perspective is one of deep pluralism, in which people of multiple faith traditions and practices are welcomed to share, teach, explore and exchange insights. Beloved Cafe looks forward to offering a rich calendar of opportunities for deeper spiritual connection and development, including meditation courses, small spirituality and reflection groups, lectures and participatory experiences engaging multi-religious perspectives and welcoming people from many faith traditions.
